CHOCOLATE HUMMUS

Who wants a recipe for Chocolate Hummus? I first tried it at Trader Joes on one of Blair’s work trips to Seattle and since travel again is a loooong way off I thought I’d create my own delicious version. Gwynnie thinks it’s cookie dough and mousse all rolled into one and can’t quite believe I’ve let her eat spoonfuls with banana pennies. I’ve made it with peanut butter but feel free to use any nut butter or tahini, I’ve sweetened with maple syrup but you could also use a handful of soaked dates or honey. We also had some freeze-dried raspberry powder in the fridge so added that to our little food styling school, art session.
Some ideas for serving are bananas, pretzels, crackers, apples, dried fruit

In a food processor blitz until smooth:

1 can chickpeas, drained

2 tbsp peanut butter (or any nut butter)

1/4 cup cocoa

1/4 cup maple syrup (or 6 soaked dates or honey)

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp water, optional

Pinch of sea salt
